Emergency drive training SFT

The simulator is provided, in particular, for the training of emergency teams of
under the particular conditions of an emergency drive using emergency signals, making available an economical and safe alternative to an practice drive by an real emergency vehicle.
Among other tasks, the SFT makes possible
The type, the duration, the degree of difficulty and the sequence of training can be individually tailored for the needs of any particular driver and can also be changed during the drive.
To impart a real feel of driving and to prevent simulator sickness (vertigo, nausea), the SFT has a seat movement system. Our system communicates the move-ment-related moment, which the driver expects when negotiating curves, when braking or when accelerating.
The SFT makes possible a representation of the most varied types of vehicle. All direction indicator devices are represented by a TFT display and a touchscreen, the control devices being configu-red via pre-selected menus. There is no need for additional expen-diture on assembly or wiring.
The sturdy modular structure of the cab, which is independent of vehicle type, makes possible a rapid and economical implemen-tation of minor changes or of specific customer requirements con-cerning vehicle type and functionality (passenger vehicle / goods vehicle).
The use of control device- and movement-related pneumatic drives makes possible the installation of the simulator in quasi-office surroundings; all that is needed for operating the simulator is a normal domestic single-phase 230V/16A socket.
A single simulator, a single system whose utilisation can also be a completely different one, namely
in driving schools for safe danger-related training
Danger-related situations can be practised in a both risk-free and realistic manner, for example if a deer should suddenly jump into the road. The SFT provides many different situations for promoting an appropriate and rapid reaction. For the learner, these situations are not only very instructive, but, because due to the “entertainment factor” can be easily remembered.
It is of course equally possible to simulate the effect on the vehicle of road surface changes, for example due to ice and snow or the occurrence of sudden showers and fog patches with a re-sulting fall of visibility.
By way of a measure of prevention, the Trainer is able to confront the learner with the effect of alcohol or loud music.
Recovery and increase of individual ability to deal with traffic problems
The simulator is equally effective in assisting the reintegration of patients who are in the process of recovery.
There is no other safe way of testing and training in the ability to deal with traffic problems. The patient will lose his fear of road traffic and at the same time learn to assess correctly his perfor-mance-related abilities.
The new development of a drive simulator for flashing blue-light emergency
drive training is receiving governmental aid by the German Federal Ministry
of Economics and Technology (BMWT).
The highly variable simulator conveys through the use of images, sound and
movement a perfect illusion of a real drive under the road traffic conditions.
